Does anyone know the puck drop time, and if I wanted to stream instead of cable, what actually works here? I've got a basic Sportsnet subscription thing maybe? Honestly not sure how that even works on my phone. Want to set an alarm so I don't miss it, thanks in advance 🙏

you got it right, Uncle_Guy. cord-cutting just means cancelling your cable package and getting everything over the internet instead. so instead of paying the cable company every month, you stream the games through an app or a subscription.
for this game, if you dropped cable you'd just fire up the Sportsnet app (or sportsnet) on a smart tv, phone or streaming stick and watch the Sharks and Oilers on October 10 that way. lots of us old-timers kept the cable out of habit, but honestly my nephew streams everything and pays way less than my old bill was 😄
back in the day you needed a satellite dish or the cable guy's van to see an away game out of market. now it's a login and you're set. give it a try with the Oilers game - worst case, the feed buffers once and you learn a lesson, that's all.
