Taking Winnipeg +1.5 on home ice, that line being this tight with Anaheim coming in on a back-to-back makes zero sense to me. A club that leaked 288 goals and plays Calgary the next night shouldn't be priced like it's even money against a home Jets side. Only worry is Winnipeg sits 26th themselves, but they're rested and I'd rather sweat that than the travel. Loaded up a touch on the ML too as a hedge play 💸
Bankroll discipline wins.

Funny part is both clubs here are questionable in their own way, so the tight puck line might actually be priced correctly. I ran the season splits in my spreadsheet: Winnipeg sits 26th with 82 points, 231 scored against 260 allowed - a minus-29 club on home ice. Anaheim's 18th with 92 points, but that 273-288 differential (minus-15) says the points outran the process all year. There's a nuance here: plus-12 in the win column versus goal differential usually means a bucket of one-goal results, which regresses hard on the road, in game two of a back-to-back, with Calgary waiting for them on the 11th. That said, caveat about sample size - this is last season's 82-game body of work, and neither roster situation is fully visible to me right now, so treat the numbers as a prior rather than a verdict. My lean matches yours, Ben, just for structurally different reasons.

Minus-29 club begging you to back them 🤡 spreadsheet or no spreadsheet, this is a lottery, not sport. I'll gladly lose a few C$ laughing at you both 😏

Where's the evidence Anaheim travels well on second nights? I see 92 points, sure, but a club that concedes 288 and lands here after a back-to-back before hosting Calgary twice is priced for a reason. Winnipeg +1.5 at home is the only part of this line I'd touch, and even then a minus-29 goal difference doesn't scream bankroll money. Show me the splits and I'll move.

Fanatic_Life has it right - the market prices schedule and fragility, and Winnipeg covering at +1.5 needs one decent period, two at most. My caveat: the Jets were minus-29 all season, so "home ice" buys you very little when the club itself is 26th. I'll take the hook, small stake, and only because a back-to-back followed by two more road dates in Calgary tilts fatigue heavily against Anaheim.

HarryBeliever nailed half of it, but here's the detail everyone's skating past: Anaheim's goal diff is worse than Winnipeg's in absolute terms. A club that scores 273 and leaks 288 plays a different style than one at 231-260, the Ducks' games run high-event both ways, which is exactly the profile where a one-goal puck line stays live even on tired legs. Context matters more than either minus sign on its own; the back-to-back before Calgary tips it to Winnipeg +1.5 for me. 📊
Do the math before you argue.

RideOrDieZone makes the only point in this thread worth reading, Anaheim's differential being worse in absolute terms while sitting 16 spots higher tells you they win games 6-4, which cuts both ways on a puck line. I'll take Winnipeg +1.5, but not because of "home ice." A 26th-place club at 231-260 isn't riding into anything on crowd noise. The back-to-back before Calgary is the actual argument, and Fanatic_Life asked the right question: where's Anaheim's second-night data? Nobody's produced it. Source on that, or are we all just vibing off the schedule? Personal note, I'm in Winnipeg and I watched enough of this team last season to know one decent period covers +1.5 against a club that leaked 288. But minus-29 is minus-29, so I'm staking like it's a lean, not a lock. Small on the Jets, keep the C$ dry for Minnesota on the 14th if this goes sideways.
Sample first, conclusions after.

Worth adding: Winnipeg's 35 losses in 82 shows how little "26th" overstates them. Small sample though, one back-to-back game rarely moves a puck line this much.

Gary's right that one back-to-back rarely swings a line, but Winnipeg's minus-29 with 35 losses is why I want the +1.5 too. Better goal diff than Anaheim, cheap price, easy call for my C$ this week.

Picture the Ducks' travel folder for this trip: land in Winnipeg on the 10th, wheels up to Calgary right after for the 11th, then home waits with Calgary again on the 14th and Boston on the 17th. There's a nuance here - with a four-in-eight-ish stretch like that, Anaheim has every reason to manage minutes, and a flat 92-point side coasting is exactly what +1.5 at the MTS Centre feeds on. BleacherUltra's right that the minus-29 goal diff does the heavy lifting; the schedule is just the sugar on top 📊

GoTheDistanceHQ nailed it. Those 6-4 wins cut both ways. Only caveat: minus-15 differential is still minus-15, so my C$ stays on Winnipeg +1.5.

Worth noting Ben's point about the schedule, that Calgary game on the 11th means Anaheim has zero reason to empty the tank in Winnipeg. Context matters, and fatigue plus a leaky 288-goal defence makes +1.5 the sensible side. 📊
Context beats a bare stat.

Zoe's right that the schedule does most of the arguing here, and I'll take +1.5 with you lot, but on condition that people stop treating the minus-29 goal diff like it's some shield. Both teams bled goals last season, 231-260 and 273-288, so this is two mediocre sides, one of them just rested. Show me the numbers on how Anaheim's back-to-backs actually went last year before anyone calls it an auto-fade, because fatigue stats get quoted way more than they get checked. For what it's worth, I'm a student so my stake on this is a modest C$20, more of a diary entry than a bankroll move. The one thing that genuinely sells me the Jets side is the Calgary game on the 11th: a coach staring at two games in two nights will protect his top guys in the first one. Question for the +1.5 crowd though, are you taking it at basically any price, or does the juice have to stay under a certain number before this stops being value and starts being vibes?

Checked the goalie cards this morning before touching anything, and that's usually where my bankroll tells me to slow down, but the schedule alone keeps me on Winnipeg +1.5. Anaheim has Calgary waiting on the 11th, they'll coast through Winnipeg, and a minus-29 side on zero rest isn't getting my juice. C$ on the +1.5, landed or I hear about it tomorrow 😭💸
