Hi everyone, new here so maybe I'm wrong about something 😅. Golden Knights vs Kings on October 11 - can someone explain simply where I can actually watch it in Canada? Is it on Sportsnet or TSN, or is it one of those streaming-only games? And what time does it start, since it's in Vegas I'm guessing it's a late one for us? Still learning this stuff, thanks in advance 🙏

simple version: it's a vegas home game so puck drop will be late for us eastern folks, probably around 10 pm toronto time, that's 7 in the afternoon out in the desert. for canadian viewing your best bet is sportsnet - opener night games usually land there or get streamed through sportsnet+ now that the national package is mostly under one roof. tsn tends to keep the odd regional thing, but for a vegas-la game i'd check sportsnet's schedule first. back in my day you just flipped on hockey night and hoped your team was on, now you're juggling three apps before the season even starts.
my advice, set the puck drop time from the league app the day before, then flip between sportsnet on tv and the streaming app. opener against the kings after they both missed higher spots last year, worth staying up for, even on a sunday. 😉

no laugh here kid, good question. streaming-only just means the game's not on regular tv - you'd watch it through a service like sportsnet+ (which runs around 20 bucks a month) instead of flipping on the tv set. back in my day every game was on the tube somewhere, but now the league scatters them around to squeeze a few extra bucks out of us 😄 for this opener i'd check sportsnet's schedule closer to october 11; most knights games end up there or on their app, especially with the oilers playing LA the next night on the 14th.

Opening night games get spread across sportsnet's channels and sometimes tsn grabs one too, so check the actual schedule the day before instead of assuming. back in the day we just flipped on hockey night and hoped for the best 😄 either way, with vegas at 95 points last year and la close behind at 90, this late puck drop is worth staying up for.
