Jets sit 26th with 231-260 goal split
Only fixture I'd put money on right now is Oct 10 vs Anaheim at Canada Life Centre, the book has the Jets ML at a number I'd normally fade, but a weak Duck side at home is the one game I trust in that 5-in-11 stretch. The 260 goals against keeps me off the puck line against Colorado and Minnesota, I'd rather take the over or just pass there. Lesson from last season: I backed Winnipeg in the marquee matchups and bled C$ doing it, so now I pick my spots, Anaheim is the spot, moneyline and forgotten.
Anaheim's the trap for me, honestly - 260 goals against and you're pricing them as bankers? I'd rather take Minnesota on Oct 14, divisional games at the Life Centre have treated my bankroll better and the Wild usually keep it tight, so the under lean plus puck line value beats chasing a juicy ML. Up one week, down the next. Classic.
JackBeliever, your "safe" divisional under angle torching your bankroll last spring, and you're back for seconds? 😂 Anaheim's the only banker here, give'r or stay broke 🤡💸
JackBeliever's got the right idea, in my books. Back when I was still working, I watched the Jets burn me every October playing it "safe" on the juicy stuff. Now I take a slow cup of coffee and pick one game I can actually defend. Minnesota on the 14th at Canada Life Centre is the only one of those five I'd put my own C$ near, and even then I'd be leaning under and puck line rather than telling myself the ML is a gift from a 26th-place team that coughed up 260.
Only caveat, and I say this having survived more rebuilds than I care to count: a 35-win club doesn't suddenly get tidy overnight, so keep the stake small and treat Colorado on Oct 7 as a watch-only. That Anaheim banker talk from Enforcer — well, banking on anything against a side like this reminds me of my old joke about the fence post that kept winning until the wind found it 😄
kev's the one talking sense here, one game you can defend, that's how i've kept my C$ alive through a few rebuilds now. minnesota under on oct 14 is my lean too, though i'd add a caveat: the wild visiting the life centre have a habit of squeezing out one ugly goal late, so i'd want the price to still be worth it before pulling the trigger. back in my day we just watched the games instead of sweating every pick, ha 😄
Been here longer than some have followed.
Colorado Oct 7 home scares me more than any under, that split screams bleed goals against good sides, and Anaheims the only ML I'd even smirk at 😏
Show me your ROI first 😏
kev's one-game rule is old school and it's kept me solvent through a couple of rebuilds too. I had Jets season seats back when the barn was half empty, so I don't touch October chalk on principle 😄 my lean matches millie and badbeat: Anaheim Oct 10 for the ML, small stake only, because that 260 against tells me every other night this stretch can spring a leak. unless the Wild game price is fat enough to cover one late ugly goal, then I'd peek at the under Oct 14.
Seen it all, lads.
Funny how everyone's suddenly a defensive analyst when the puck line screams trap 😂 260 against and you clowns are picking MLs like it's a coin flip with extra steps. Colorado Oct 7, my money stays in my pocket 🤡💸
hell of a thread this, eh. kev's anaheim lean sits right with me, watched as long as I have and you'll get it: october hockey lies. keep the stake small 😄
GloryDays at least gets it, the rest of you are queueing up to donate C$ to the books on a team that bled 260 😂 I watched enough of that defence last year to know Pittsburgh Oct 5 is a fade unless you're taking overs. Anaheim's your "safe" pick? Congrats on betting a lottery ticket with extra steps 💸
Locked in: single on Anaheim Oct 10 ML, tiny C$ stake, nothing else. Pittsburgh is a fade, I learned that the hard way last year 😭 see you after the match.
Value over a big price 💸
