Ben's probably right on the price. Concede the hometown discount happens, but only if the kid's already won something elsewhere, otherwise his agent prices sentiment at zero.

The last rumour that had us giddy was a player whose agent had leverage elsewhere, so the price never lined up. If the kid's camp genuinely prices the rink, the gap between market and discount narrows. Depends how you count it: sentiment is worth zero when there's a bidding war, and worth a couple million when there isn't. My spreadsheet says budget the middle scenario, roughly a discount off market, not a full Gimli-rate favour. Either way I'm not planning the parade until Chevy actually phones someone 📊

@SamBeliever buddy I love the sentiment but my agent spreadsheet says agents exist precisely so dreams don't affect the invoice 🤣 every summer some hometown story shows up and by August it's just me crying into a double-double. Chevy can make it work at 6.5, sure, but I'll believe the kid took a discount when I see the signature, not the daydreams 🍿
