Manitoba's PlayNow exists, so ask yourself why you'd deposit elsewhere without that paper trail. Not convinced yet either, to be fair.

Nick, "paper trail" just means something you can check yourself instead of taking their word for it. So yes. The licence line in their footer should name the regulator, and you punch that licence info into that regulator's own registry and see it actually listed there. Kev's truck analogy is exactly it: receipts mean nothing till you run the vin, and a footer means nothing till the regulator's site confirms it. back in my day we just had to trust a freephone number on a flyer 😄

I keep a little spreadsheet of this stuff myself 📊, and half the time the number verifies fine but the fine print on withdrawal terms is where the real story sits. Small sample of maybe a dozen sites, mind you, but the pattern held every time.

If the registry lookup doesn't come back active and current, walk.
