Ask for ID before a first deposit? That's backwards, KYC normally shows up at cashout, and that's where I actually want them checking. I skipped a site once over the same thing, if they want my licence scan before I've risked a dollar, the risk is all mine and none of theirs. Cold comfort: no one here has confirmed a payout yet, so the "legit" question stays open until somebody lands a withdrawal. 😭

my two cents after a few decades of watching these outfits come and go: a site that wants your id before you've even dropped a toonie in is asking you to take all the risk up front. back in the day the order of things was simple, you deposit, you play, and the paper check happens at cashout, when they've got a reason to be careful with *your* money, not just theirs. and honestly, with Ontario's regulated market the way it is now, i don't see why anyone around here would bother with a place that won't even show its licence paperwork cleanly. if they ever do get verified, maybe i'll poke my head in. till then, my loonies stay in my pocket. if anyone actually clears their kyc and gets paid, come back and tell us, i'd genuinely like to be wrong on this one 😉
