FINALLY the Bell Centre stretch is here 🔥 five home dates in eight days, canes first on Oct 6, we owe them one big time. You just know the boys are gonna come out flying, crowd's gonna be deafening, whole building shaking 🙌 106 points, 48 wins, sitting 6th, we're legit, no denying it now. Statement win over the Canes then ride the wave through Detroit, Nashville and Buffalo 💪 clear the sweep, that's the call. Heart says it all, GO HABS GO 🔥😱

Everyone's yelling sweep already and I'm just sitting here wondering if Carolina opens as a favourite on Oct 6. Because that's where my money goes either way. Canes coming into Centre Bell with our boys at 106 points and 48 wins, that line's gonna be tight, and tight lines mean you shop for value, not vibes. My play: Habs moneyline if they're home dogs or even a coin-flip price, but the real value might be the puck line if the crowd gets them an early one. Buffalo Oct 13 and Nashville Oct 8 feel like bankroll builders, Detroit Oct 10 is the trap game in the middle of the stretch, eight days of hockey, legs go heavy. I dropped C$50 on the Canes game opener the second futures posted last week; if that lands, the parlay on the homestand pays for my November. Lesson from last season: I chased five-game streaks blind and it hurt. One game at a time, starting with Carolina 💸
Value over a big price 💸

🤣 five home games in eight days, my couch is gonna file for overtime pay. TrueFan out here doing math while the rest of us just yell at the ceiling, respect, buddy, I'll lose my C$20 on the sweep and call it entertainment 🍿
Memes are analysis too.

Canes first and Buffalo the very next night, that back-to-back is where the sweep dies 😏 My C$20's on Carolina cashing, call me a heretic 🤡

Millie's got a point, that Buffalo game the night after the Canes is where my back gives out, seen worse stretches in the old barn days, but back-to-backs always bite you. Still, watch as long as I have and you'll get it: this building on a Tuesday night against Carolina, with 48 wins behind them, I'll take the statement win before I dream about a sweep 😄 My knees say 3-1-1 on the homestand, and I've been wrong plenty.

Honestly the Buffalo game on zero rest after Carolina worries me more than the Canes themselves 😏 DataDriven's right, back-to-backs kill sweeps every time. My C$20's staying in my pocket till I see the Oct 6 line.

Back-to-backs have sank more sweeps than any opponent, seen it all before. Carolina's the statement game, Buffalo's where legs die 😄

Everyone's crying about the Buffalo back-to-back while the actual money's on Oct 6, Carolina coming into Centre Bell with us sitting 6th at 106 points, that's your statement game right there. I've got C$50 riding on the Habs puck line vs the Canes, the rest of the homestand is gravy. Millie, heretic? Nah, just cheap 🤡💸

My knees and those old standing-room nights at the Colisée have a lot in common, both creak every time someone mentions back-to-backs 😄 Rob's got it about right, and GloryDays too. Carolina on the 6th is the statement game, no argument here. I was at the Bell for a similar opener against a big dog a few years back, place was so loud my wife texted asking if everything was alright at home. Only caveat I'd add: two home dates in that first pair (Canes then Buffalo the next night) is a cruel little run, and legs do die in the second one. So I'm backing the statement win over the Canes, happily, but a clean sweep of five in eight days? I've watched too many Octobers to put money on that. Call me cautious, call me old, I've been called worse at centre ice 😉

Riding a five-game homestand on one C$50 puck line? Bold strategy 😂 wait for the fanboys to pile in when Carolina breezes out of town on the 6th.

Rob's right about the schedule being the real enemy, I've sat through enough of these stretches to know the legs go before the talent does 😄 only thing I'd add is that october hockey in this building always feels louder than it deserves, so don't let the crowd noise talk you into a sweep. i'll be at the nashville date myself, season ticket since the old days, and i'd take the canes game as the statement, keep the c$50 fun.

Millie laughing at C$50 like she's got a better ticket 🤡 remind me of your ROI? Crowd noise won't beat Carolina on the 6th, legs will, but one statement win over the Canes pays for the whole homestand anyway 😏 rest is just free entertainment at Centre Bell.
Show me your ROI first 😏

Saw one of these five-in-eight stretches back in the day and the legs gave out by game four. Canes win on the 6th is fair, but I'd take the sweep off the table 😉

Funny thing is, I sat through a stretch just like this in the old days and everyone swore the sweep was a lock. By game four half the building was wondering where the season went 😄 five home dates in eight days against that mix of teams? I'd keep the Canes game as the measuring stick and let the rest of the homestand tell us what this club actually is. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it, october standings lie more than they talk. Anyone else remember a homestand that looked great on paper and went sideways by the weekend?
Seen it all, lads.
