That 260 against last year? You can't buy back trust with one loud home opener, and I've had season tickets through enough rebuilds to know the first week tells you more about the defence than the scoreboard does. I sat through a few rebuilds in some real drafty old rinks, and honestly the crowd only matters when the goaltending gives them something to stand behind.
