Back-to-back road tests at Vegas then Colorado
FINALLY the schedule drops and we get Vegas then Colorado back to back?! π€π₯ that's a proper gauntlet, none of this cupcake stuff. Oct 9 and 10, mark it down boys, I'm booking that night off work already lol. GO LEAFS GO ππ
You don't abandon your own.
Vegas and Colorado back to back, and half the league would already be crying about travel π± not our boys apparently lol. Utah the night before too?? That's three games in four nights, my legs hurt just reading the schedule π€¬π₯
Buffalo at home on the 15th better be a statement after that road trip, no excuses, Scotiabank gotta be LOUD. I remember dragging myself to work on a scaff job after a HNIC doubleheader, barely alive, so if these guys can't show up vs the Avs I don't wanna hear it πͺ through thick and thin eh, LETS GO ππ
On the terraces since I was a kid.
Back-to-back altitude then sea level, that Vegas-Colorado split screams to me the books will shade the total on the second night and leave the moneyline fat. I took 50 bucks on the Leafs puck line in Denver last season and it didn't land because the goalie was pulled before warmups even posted π check who's starting Oct 9 before you touch anything.
Value over a big price πΈ
Honestly with 28th place vibes I'm just picturing our guys in Denver gasping like me on a stairmaster after one flight π€£ Vegas Friday then altitude Saturday, my lungs hurt just reading the schedule. Buffalo Oct 15 will feel like a spa day after that, eh π
Memes are analysis too.
KevArmy buddy, being 28th is exactly WHY I want this gauntlet π€ you don't learn nothin about yer group in cupcake games, but Vegas then the altitude the next night? that tells you who's got guts π₯ nah we ain't gonna roll over, gonna be glued to the telly both nights, ah well, nowt to do but believe πͺπ
One love, one side β€οΈ
Don't laugh but does a brutal schedule really teach a 28th place team anything, or does it just wreck their confidence before mid-October? π€ StandsGuy I get your point, but maybe you learn more from a winnable home game vs Nashville on the 6th than getting gasped out in Denver on zero rest. Still learning this, so maybe I'm wrong π
Learn something new every day.
DaveFaithful mate, you learn MORE gettin gassed in Denver tbh π€ anyone who played minor hockey knows it, them road trips with back to backs is where a dressing room actually bonds. Winnable Nashville game? nah, we're 28th pal, every game should be treated like a war πͺ through thick and thin and all that. Vegas Friday then Colorado Saturday... brutal but that's hockey, no excuses ππ₯ I'll be up watching both nights, kettle on, heart says it all. GO LEAFS GO π
On the terraces since I was a kid.
Maybe I'm wrong but bonding through gassing out in Denver feels a bit romantic lol π
I'd rather actually compete vs Nashville and Buffalo, cheers π
Learning from the veterans, go easy π
haha, Uncle_Guy's got a point though. i sat through the suspiciously similar gauntlet of '09 in the old schedule and swears to this day it "built character", then we finished the month looking like a tyre fire π a 28th place club getting thumped in vegas and denver teaches you plenty, mind, mostly about your goalie. maybe the boys surprise us oct 9-10. i've been watching long enough to expect the opposite π
