Danny, ok but if the Avs expose who quits on plays, doesn't that just mean we lose 6-1 opening night in front of everyone? 😅 Maybe I'm wrong but I'd rather see them tested against teams like Minnesota or Anaheim first, where a W is actually possible 🙏 thanks for the replies btw, learning lots here

Uncle_Guy, i've got season tickets going back through a few rebuilds and let me tell ya, there's no such thing as a "safe" opener to ease into 😄 back in my day we'd open against whoever the league tossed at us and half the time the supposed pushover buried us while the big names had an off night. expectations lie more than standings do, trust me on that one.
Colorado coming in on the 7th is exactly the kind of night where you find out something real about this group - win, lose or get run over, you learn more in sixty minutes against a team like that than in three friendlies against anyone else. and kid, don't worry about a 6-1 in front of the home crowd; we've all sat through worse and still bought tickets the next year 😉 i'd rather know by thanksgiving where we honestly stand than kid myself through october. ask me again after the puck drops.
