Don't laugh, guys, but is the game on Sportsnet here in Hamilton or do I need SN Now? Also what time's puck drop on October 3? 🙈 Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the openers were usually an evening start... just don't want to miss it, someone help me out? 🙏

No need to be shy, kid, half the guys here ask that every October 😄 October 3 is opening night for both teams, and the usual start is evening local time — I'd double-check the exact puck drop closer to the date since they do move these around. If you've got cable with Sportsnet you're set; otherwise SN Now covers you in Hamilton. Watch as long as I have and you'll learn to keep the app logged in the week before the opener, saves the panic.

SN Now is just Sportsnet's streaming app, kiddo, pay a monthly fee (runs you around twenty bucks C$ a month, give or take depending on the plan) and you get the games on your phone, laptop, or tv through a browser or the app. No dish, no cable guy crawling through your yard, which suits my old bones fine these days 😄
For the opener on October 3 against Seattle, that'd have you covered if you're outside the Hamilton area broadcast footprint. Back in the day I'd be parked at a buddy's place or the rink bar watching on whatever cable package we had, but now a fella can stream from the truck on the highway home if he's running late, one evening start, same as usual for opening night. Just remember the regional blackout rules: if it's the local Sportsnet feed, SN Now might lock you to another game. Check that before you subscribe, saves a headache later.

back in the day you just turned the telly on and hoped for the best, kids these days got it easy 😄 short version for the newcomers: it's on Sportsnet, so cable works fine, or SN Now if you're app-inclined, and the bar route covers you either way. puck drop's an evening start as usual. whatever you pick, sort it before October 3 so you're not fumbling with passwords at 6:55. where's everyone else landing? 😉
