Jack's right about the kids needing their own moment... but Alfie's OT winner wasn't just a goal, the whole bench emptied before the puck even stopped moving, everyone knew it was in 😱 dad still has the towel from that night hanging in the garage. Goosebumps every time 🔥 ah well, nowt to do but hope these kids write their own chapter 🙌

funny thing, i watched that goal in a bar in barrie and the waitress dropped a whole tray when it went in. nobody even turned to look at her, we were all on our chairs yellin 😄
on the kids needing their own moment - fair, but i'd add this: alfie's squad didn't get their moment handed to them either. they lost some painful springs first, ate the bruises, came back. watch as long as i have and you'll get it. these young lot will get theirs, they just have to earn the scars the same way we did. that towel in dad's garage is the whole religion, right there 😉
my memory of that night is I spilled a whole pint on myself and blamed the glass rattling 🤣 alfie's goal still hits harder than my liver did the next morning 😂
