Five home dates in eight days to open things, that's a gift wrap and no mistake. Flyers first at the Canadian Tire Centre on the 8th, Preds two nights later, quick hop to Jersey on the 12th, then Blues and Isles back home. 278 goals last season and we still watched from 9th with 99 points, which still makes my blood boil tbh. If we can't turn that home crowd into points in this stretch then when?? Goaltending holds and we're climbing, no arguments accepted 🤬💪 get in!

Don't laugh, guys, but did anyone else read the 278 goals bit and wonder where they landed in the table anyway? 😅 I get the excitement for the opener against the Flyers, I really do, but outscoring everyone while still finishing 9th kind of feels like a really fast car with a leaky tire. Maybe I'm missing something, but everyone keeps saying "same roster same holes" like it's fact - teams change plenty between seasons even without trades, right? Or am I being naive again 😅 Because if the answer is truly nothing changed, then what exactly are we expecting past 9th besides hope?

Back in the day I watched plenty of seasons where everyone grew a year and the standings barely budged. 99 points and 9th means the hope's been bought and paid for already 😄 five home dates in eight days will tell us more by thanksgiving than any summer optimism ever could. what'll you say if they come out of it 3-2?
