Senators fans: five home games at CTC this October, who's going
FINALLY the schedule drops and we open at home 🔥 October 8 vs the Flyers to kick it off, then Nashville, then the Isles on the 15th at Canadian Tire Centre. Five home dates in the month and I'm already counting down the days tbh.
278 goals last season and this crowd is hungry for more. Gonna be loud in there from the first puck drop, guaranteed 💪 Who's in, fellas?? ah well, nowt to do but wait 🙌
One love, one side ❤️
278 goals and somehow we still finished 9th... imagine what this building sounds like when they actually click 😤 Flyers first, then Nashville, Isles after. Isles fans gotta fly all the way here just to get buried, love it 🔥 who's got their tickets already?
You don't abandon your own.
Took the Isles opener at -135 when it first posted, would've liked the -125 I saw hinted at earlier but that ship sailed 😭 Value's thin on the moneyline there, honestly. If it creeps toward -150 I'm passing and looking at the puck line instead, because Ottawa at home with 278 goals of firepower last year? Laying -1.5 at plus money is where my C$ is going if the price lands right. Waited on the Blues date on the 13th, still no line worth touching.
Bankroll is everything this early in the season, so I'm keeping unit size small until I see who's actually in net those nights. One thing I learned from yesterday's loss: chasing openers cold never landed for me. Give'r sens fans, but I'm betting with my head 💸
Bankroll discipline wins.
🤣 me, a warehouse guy from Halifax, pricing flights to Ottawa for five straight games... my wallet said curtain call before the season even starts 😂 popcorn's ready though 🍿
Hold my pint.
Question for you all though - 278 goals sounds great on paper but we still finished 9th, so was the defence the problem or just bad luck in close ones? 🤔 Honestly curious, I've only followed the Sens properly for a year. HarryBlues, what makes the Isles opener a favourite at -135 when they're flying into our barn? Thanks in advance 🙂
Paul check the 246 against for your answer, that's the real story 🤔 also 278 in this building?? I was there for the Flyers scrap two years back, place nearly lifted off 🔥 SENS SENS SENS
You don't abandon your own.
Maybe I'm wrong but 246 against doesn't scream disaster either, Paul? Close games can just bounce bad one year 🤔 still learning this stuff honestly
Learn something new every day.
Dave you're onto something tbh, 246 against in this league is basically middle of the road, nobody's panicking 💪 the real difference maker is what happens in the tight ones, you just know a couple bounces go your way and that 9th place turns into home ice talk 🔥 either way I'm in for the Flyers opener, parking my butt on the 400 level, SENS SENS 🙌
One love, one side ❤️
GaryUltra, I was at that comeback too, stood in the concourse for intermission because I figured it was cooked, walked back in and couldn't believe the noise. So I get the optimism, honestly I do.
Thing is, watch as long as I have and you'll get it: October has humbled better teams than this one. Back in the day the old barns used to roar just as loud in week one and half those guys were golfing by April. Isles opener scares me more than the Flyers too, if I'm being straight with you. But five home dates is five home dates, and I've already told the wife to book around them 😄 who's driving up from the 905 for that first one?
Seen it all, lads.
