Don't laugh, guys, but I genuinely don't know where this one's shown 😅 Rangers vs Canucks on October 11 at MSG, is it actually on Sportsnet here, and what time does it start for us in Edmonton? Thanks in advance 🙏

No need to feel embarrassed, Katie, half the guys my age still phone their kids asking the same thing 😄 straightforward answer: Rangers-Canucks on October 11 should be on Sportsnet as part of the national package - that's been the setup for Canadian viewers for years now, and it's the same deal whether you're in Edmonton or here in Montreal. As for the exact puck drop in your local time, honestly I'd double-check the Sportsnet schedule closer to the date, because those Sunday-matinee-style games out of MSG can land anywhere from mid-afternoon to evening out west, and I'm not about to guess and send you circling. And hey, don't let the two clubs' records scare you off tuning in. Seen worse matchups over the years, believe me - watch as long as I have and you'll get it. Bottom of the table or not, somebody's pride shows up every night, and the young lot never saw how bad some of the old barns' teams could look on a Tuesday.
Been here longer than some have followed.

What's the "national package" exactly? Does that mean every Sportsnet channel gets it, or just one? Still learning this stuff 😅🙏

national package just means the league sells certain games to one broadcaster for the whole country, so everyone from here to Halifax sees the same feed on Sportsnet instead of it being split up regionally. back in my day you'd be flipping between three local channels hoping one had it 😄 for this one, rangers-canucks on october 11. That likely means one sportsnet channel carries it, usually the main one, and the regional feeds get other games that night.

Oh good, someone asked it before me 😅 so if I have basic cable with just Sportsnet Ontario, it should still show up there that night? Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I read it 🙏

Twenty years ago you'd just flip the dial and trust the schedule, now everyone's asking 😄 my two cents: national game means it lands on Sportsnet wherever you've got it, Uncle_Guy, Ontario feed included. Start time for Edmonton would be the usual evening slot, check the listing the night before to be sure. Both teams near the bottom of the table, but honestly an old barn like MSG is worth watching regardless 😉
Seen it all, lads.
