I'd love to catch it but I have zero idea what time the puck drops — anyone know? Don't want to miss my first proper watch of the season, thanks in advance! 🙏🏒

If your cable package doesn't include it, the sportsnet streaming option works too, that's the legal route i'd point a newcomer toward. as for the puck drop, i don't want to guess and send you to the couch an hour early, so check the sportsnet listings the day before; out-of-town starts tend to jump around.
you picked a decent one to learn on, too. bolts were 5th overall last year with 106 points, philly snuck in at 11th with 98, so there should be some push-back even if tampa's the favourite. back in my day you'd be flipping channels hoping for a feed out of buffalo. Sorry, dumb question 😅 what does "regional only" actually mean for hockey broadcasts? Does that mean us out west might get a different game instead? 🤔

regional means the broadcast rights get split up, a game might only air in the home team's territory, and folks elsewhere get a different game on that channel instead. for october 5 you're fine though, sportsnet has it nationwide since it's the bolts hosting philly. back in the day you'd be stuck hoping for centre ice on the satellite just to see an out-of-market game 😉
