First game day of the season I actually want to catch and I'm already lost 😅 Can someone tell me what time the Flyers-Canes game starts on Oct 11 and if the Sportsnet stream is included with a basic subscription, or do I need the extra package? Would hate to miss the puck drop because I fumbled the app setup.🙏

hang in there kid, we've all been lost on day one 😄 the canes visit philly on sunday oct 11, and sportsnet holds the canadian rights. Whether the stream's in your base plan or needs the extra tier depends on your package, so check the listing on their site/app for the puck drop in your time zone. i'd just budget a toonie or two's worth of patience with the sign-in, old school apps make you dance for it 😉

Sorry if this is daft, but when you say "base plan", does that mean the regular Sportsnet app subscription, or the cable TV package? Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought streaming and TV were separate things here 🤔 Thanks for hanging in with us newbies 🙏

Not daft at all, Uncle_Guy, it trips up plenty of folks. In plain words: the TV side is what your cable provider carries, while the app is a standalone stream you can subscribe to on its own, no cable needed. So for Flyers-Canes on Oct 11, if you're a cable household, check your sports tier; if you cut the cord years ago like me, the app subscription is your route. Worth sorting out before puck drop, trust me 😉

flyers host the canes on sunday, october 11, and sportsnet has the canadian rights, the stream in the app is separate from the cable side, as DataDriven said, so check whichever one you're subscribed to for your local puck drop. worth tuning in too, that carolina side finished second overall last year with 113 points, and philly at home in the opener is always a lively barn. then philly turns around and hosts seattle on the 13th, so it's a quick stretch for them. who else is setting the coffee for a sunday game, eh? 😉
