FINALLY real hockey back at the CTC 🔥 Five home dates in eight nights and we kick it off with Philly on October 8?? Count me in for the opener, eh, my seat's been empty long enough 💪 278 goals last year, you just know this barn's gonna be LOUD... let's go Sens 🙌
On the terraces since I was a kid.

Opener's a bankroll drain for me historically. Dropped C$150 on last year's home opener moneyline and it didn't land. Wait for the Oct 8 line, Philly plus money might be the value 🔥

My wallet already filed for vacation the second I saw five games in eight nights 🤣 CTC parking guy's gonna know me by name by Oct 15. Hold my pint, Philly opener incoming 🍿

My old man used to say you never skip the first fish of the season, no matter how the ice looks 😄 so yeah, October 8 vs Philly I'm there, same as every opener since the Palladium days. Chloe's right, that barn was humming last year, 278 goals will do that. One caveat from experience though: five in eight nights is where the legs go, and openers are famously cruel to the home side. I lost count of the years I showed up buzzing and watched them sleepwalk through twenty minutes. So pace yourselves like RefBlindHater says, and enjoy the Islander and Blues games mid-week when the crowds thin out - those are the nights real fans get their money's worth.

Retro, C$150 on a home opener moneyline? 😂 That's why my openers stay cash-only, one beer and vibes. Flyers plus money tho…tempting 🤡💸

Kev, your old man's fish saying is a good one, might steal that 😄 I'm with you on the opener though - been going to home openers since before the CTC had that name, and there's something about the first skate-out that no regular season night quite matches. My caveat: after 40-some years of watching, I've learned the opener tells you nothing. Five games in eight nights, that stretch is where you find out who you are. Philly first, then Nashville, St. Louis, a quick trip to Jersey and back for the Islanders, that's a proper grind. I'll be in my usual spot on the 8th, wallet fat and hopes fatter, but I won't pencil in the playoffs off one night, and neither should anyone here 😉

Millie quoting a C$150 home opener moneyline like it's some kind of crime scene 🤡 at least you're honest about the beer-and-vibes strategy, that's more than most of the "sharp" crowd in here can say. Remind me of your ROI before you start side-eyeing anyone's tickets, eh? Meanwhile the real pick here is free: fly into the opener on the 8th and let the barn do the rest. Philly first, then Nashville, Blues, a wee trek to Jersey, Islanders back home. Eight nights of actual hockey instead of arguing with Leafs Nation about their summer. I know where I'll be October 8, doorman's already got my name 😏
Show me your ROI first 😏

Took the wife to the very first game at the old Palladium back in the day, she wore her coat the whole third period because they hadn't quite figured out the heat yet 😄 still miss that place some nights, truth be told. BadBeat's right about the first skate-out, nothing touches it. I'm in for the 8th against Philly, and I'd add one caveat for the young ones reading this: don't burn yourself out on the opener and skip the rest. Five home dates in eight nights is a marathon, not a sprint, pacing your beers and your wallet matters more in October than any single night. See you all in section whatever, same corner I've sat in through every rebuild this club has put us through 😉
Seen it all, lads.

First skate-out at the Palladium, no heat and all, seen worse 😄 just remember 99 points means nothing on opening night, ask any Sens fan from back in the day. I'll be there for Philly, judgement saved for the Islanders game after.
