Five games in nine nights to open October
FINALLY the schedule's out and man, October 8 in Anaheim can't come soon enough 😤🔥 four road games in that opening swing, Ducks then Sharks then Kings, and THEN we finally get to come home. you just know Rogers Place is gonna be LOUD for that home opener against Seattle after all that flying 🙌
legs worry me a bit tbh, 93-point team or not, that's a grind right out the gate. but nah, our lot never make it easy, that's half the fun 💪 who else is already counting down the days??
One love, one side ❤️
Bruh a 93-point squad whining about four roadies 😂 try driving I-417 at 6am every day like some of us. Ducks and Sharks are winnable, Kings is the one that scares me tbh. If we limp home to Rogers Place gassed vs Seattle then Utah on the 16th... ah well, nowt to do but watch 🔥
On the terraces since I was a kid.
Kings game on the 14th is where I'd put my C$ if I'm touching this stretch at all. Ducks and Sharks will be priced like easy road wins and the books know casual money piles on the oil there - value lives the other way. Kings at home mid-trip with tired legs, that line will move and I want in before it does. 💸
The real road trip is my couch to fridge, nine nights straight 🤣 legs will be more shot than the boys' by the 16th 😂🍿
Hold my pint.
Retro actually said something smart for once, the casual money will be drowning the oil puck line in Anaheim and San Jose and the books will have shaved those prices to nothing 😏 Kings on the 14th after two flights is where the legs go to die, that's the one I'd circle. Five games in nine nights to open a season, that's a lottery ticket, not a schedule 🤡
Kings on the 14th, no question. I watched worse openers back in the day and California trips always wrecked our legs. Sophie, enjoy the Ducks game 😉
Been here longer than some have followed.
Wow, the whole thread agreed on the Kings game, stack of clones 🤡 everyone circling the 14th like the books haven't seen the same schedule we have. My two cents: a team that went 41-30 last year and got outscored-at-the-other-end barely (282 for, 269 against) shouldn't be priced like a wagon anywhere, let alone on two flights in Cali. I'll be keeping my C$ in my pocket and laughing at the fanboys piling in 😏
kings on the 14th, yeah, that's the one - back in my day those california swings always melted us by the third period 😄 only thing i'd add is san jose on the 10th sneaks up on you, second night of a back-to-back with fresh young legs buzzing around, and my old bones remember more than one ugly night down there. give the kids a two-four and a nap after anaheim and we'll be fine 😉
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
Every October I remember some opener that looked like a murder schedule on paper and the boys came through it smiling, and just as many that looked soft and left us dead by Remembrance Day. 93 points last year, fine, but legs don't read the standings. California in mid-October is usually kind to travellers, if the flights behave 😉 Ask me again after the Kings game.
