Five games in eleven days to open October at Rogers Place
FINALLY 🔥 hockey's back at Rogers Place in like two weeks and I can barely sit still tbh
October 3 vs Seattle, get in! Then boom, straight into that California swing. Anaheim, San Jose, LA - and we wrap it up back home on the 16th vs Utah. Five games in eleven days, that's a proper grind to open the season and honestly I love it. No time to ease in, we find out real quick what this group is made of 💪
Road trips out west are always dicey but you just know the boys are gonna be flying. Counting down the days already 🙌
Seattle at Rogers Place to open, then a Cali road trip where we've always got screens open... those Pacific guys better bring bandages 😤 Kraken won't hear the end of it October 3, backing them all day 🔥 16th Utah comes to us. What a ride tbh
On the terraces since I was a kid.
Honestly I'll wait on the starting goalie confirmation before touching any of these, but that opener vs Seattle looks like the obvious play of the stretch. Puck line will probably sit around -1.5, and if the price stays friendly I'd rather take value there than eat a big moneyline. Banking C$50 on the opener the second lines drop, that road trip through California I'm leaving alone until I see movement. 🍺
Value over a big price 💸
Harry out here doing math on the puck line while I'm still trying to figure out if I can afford tickets vs rent this month 🤣 me at Rogers Place Oct 3: wallet says no, heart says hold my pint and go anyway. California swing in October? lads basically booked a beach vacation with body checks 😂🍿
Hold my pint.
Harry talking about value like he's ever cashed a slip in his life 😂 remind me of your ROI? Meanwhile I'll be at Rogers Place Oct 3 with a C$9 beer wondering why Cali gets three games and my liver gets five. Two weeks lads, hold the pint indeed 🤡💸
Show me your ROI first 😏
RefBlindHater, your wallet post made me laugh more than it should 😄 back in the day I paid less for a season package than these folks pay for two beers, but October 3 I'll be in my usual seat anyway, rain or shine. Only caveat I'd add to the lads hyping the Cali swing: five games in eleven days with a road trip in the middle is a slog, seen it all before, so temper the excitement a touch before we crown anyone. 😉

Uncle_Faithful roasting Harry's ROI while backing the obvious Seattle moneyline like it's a hot take 😂 wait for the fanboys to pile in when the Kraken price drops on gameday 🤡💸
DaveArmy said it best. Paid less for a whole season package than two beers nowadays, and I believe every word of it 😄 I held season seats through a couple of ugly rebuilds at the old barns, so October 3 against Seattle I'll be there regardless of what the puck line says. Only caveat: that California swing right out of the gate is a grinder, five games in eleven days will tell us plenty early.
Been here longer than some have followed.
Five games in eleven days and two of them back-to-back out west. The San Jose flight after Anaheim is gonna be brutal on the legs 😏 Kraken opener tells us plenty.
Show me your ROI first 😏
Millie's got a point about the legs, but I'd push back a little, back in the day teams did that California swing every October without anyone whining about flights, and they flew on red-eyes with zero fancy recovery science 😄 watch as long as I have and you'll get it: the schedule always looks scary in September and by mid-November nobody remembers it.
That said, five in eleven days with a couple older vets in the room, I do hope the coach manages the minutes early instead of riding his horses like it's game seven. My knees still ache from climbing the old stands in Hamilton every winter night for twenty years, so I've earned my opinion on brutal legs, thank you very much 😉 October 3 I'll be planted in front of the TV with a coffee, that opener tells you more than any prediction thread ever will.
Seen it all, lads.
funny thing, that 93-point side finished 14th and we all swore they'd cruise. california swing looks soft every october, then bites ya. see you oct 3 😉
