Canucks vs Hurricanes on October 8: Sportsnet has it, who's in?

I keep seeing the Canes vs Canucks game on October 8 is on Sportsnet, but can someone explain simply what time puck drop actually is in Mountain Time? I don't want to miss the opening faceoff 🥅 Also. Do I need a regular cable subscription or can I stream it somewhere without paying for a whole sports package? A buddy mentioned something about Sportsnet+ but I got confused whether every game is included or just some.

welcome aboard, kid 😄 canes home games usually go at 7 eastern, so figure on 5 o'clock your time in mountain. But double-check the sportsnet listing closer to the day, they love shuffling start times. it's on sportsnet proper, so any regular tv package or their streaming app gets you in legally. an hour before dinner, perfect timing honestly.

no laughing here kid, we all started somewhere 😄 "sportsnet proper" just means the main linear channel you get on cable, as opposed to their streaming app or the regional feeds. so for the canes game october 8, if your tv package includes sportsnet, flip to the channel itself and you're set; the app is just the same broadcast over the internet if you've cut the cord. back in my day we only had one channel showing hockey and we liked it 😉
Watching a Canes home opener feels like a nice way to start the season, even if it might get ugly for Vancouver 😅 maybe I'm wrong but with the road trip to NY and Florida right after, the Canucks could come out tired from travel? Anyway I'll be on the couch Oct 8 🥅 thanks to everyone explaining the Sportsnet stuff above, actually cleared it up for me too 🙏

7 eastern start if history holds, so 5 mountain. Sportsnet main channel or the app both work. might be ugly for the nucks but hey, season's season 😉
