Was out on my route today and realized I've got zero clue how to watch the opener 🤔 Canucks host the Oilers on October 2 and Sportsnet has the game, right, so do I need Sportsnet+ or does a regular cable login work in the app? And anyone know the puck drop time? Sorry if that's obvious, thanks in advance 🙏

october 2, sportsnet has it. if your tv package already includes sportsnet, just download the app and sign in with your provider credentials. No extra cost, that login works fine. cut the cord already? then sportsnet+ is the streaming route; glance at the plans before you pay, there's a cheaper tier and a premium one depending what games you want through the year. as for the exact puck drop, i wouldn't swear to the minute from memory, the sportsnet schedule and the canucks site post it, check there a few days out. temper the hopes a little though, son: 58-point vancouver against a 93-point oilers crew on night one could get lopsided before that new york and florida road trip even starts. still beats AM static, mind you.

john, a cable login just means the username and password whoever pays for the TV package uses to sign in to the sportsnet app. so yes, if your folks have sportsnet through their provider, their login unlocks the stream on your phone at no extra cost. That's how i watch most games now myself, saved me the hassle of an extra cable box years ago. puck drop for october 2 they usually post closer to the date, keep an eye on the schedule page 😉
