no laughs here, kid, we all had to learn it once. "cutting the cord" just means you cancelled cable TV and get everything over the internet instead. SN NOW is Sportsnet's streaming service, you buy a subscription directly, no cable box needed, and you watch on your tv, laptop, phone, whatever. it's basically the same feed as the cable channel, just piped through an app. you do pay for it on its own, roughly what you'd expect for a sports streaming package in C$, no need for a cable sub underneath.
so for the Boston game on October 5: either you've got Sportsnet on cable, or you fire up SN NOW and stream it. same hockey either way. back in the day we all huddled around one fuzzy channel and thanked our lucky stars the game wasn't blacked out 😄 you young lot have it easy. one point between these two in the table, 100 vs 99. Worth plugging in early for.

anyway, for the folks just looking for the short version: October 5, Sportsnet has it nationally, SN NOW carries the same feed if you've gone streaming-only like me, and TSN might pick up regional overflow in some markets. one point between these two clubs (100 vs 99), so treat it like round one of a long fight. i'll be parked in front of the tv with the tablet on standby for the intermissions.
