Look, yeah we finished 29th, 77 points, minus 47 in goals - I know the numbers, you don't gotta keep throwing em at me 🤬 but I'm riding with this roster no matter what. Avs in town opening night, that's the game you circle the second the schedule drops. Six games in sixteen nights right after too, so the start matters HUGE.
Was at my first ever game at the Saddledome as a kid and every opener since gives me the same buzz tbh. Long season? maybe. But we show up loud anyway 💪 ah well, nowt to do but count the days 🔥

I'll wait for the openers on that Oct 9 game, but you know Colorado's moneyline lands around -180/-200 territory and the puck line for Calgary at +1.5 is where I'd even glance. Even then I need to see confirmed starters in net first - last season I dropped C$150 on a total blind and learned that lesson the hard way. Six games in sixteen nights right out the gate, second of a back-to-back stretch situation? That's where the books get fat. I'll throw a small play at the Dome crowd energy just for fun, but the real value early season is usually fading the hype, not feeding it 😭

Gramps asks a fair question tbh... heart didn't stop us getting outscored by 47 last year 😬 but openers are a whole different animal, that building will shake Oct 9 and Colorado's gotta fly in and deal with it 🔥 I grew up on Hockey Night in Canada and some of the best games I ever saw were teams nobody believed in. Ride or nothing, LETS GO FLAMES 💪

Honest question, does a buzzsaw even work when the other team has Avs talent? 😅 Danny, I love the optimism but Colorado walking into a loud Dome still feels like they win 6-2... maybe I'm wrong though, still learning this stuff. Guess we find out Oct 9 🙏

Metric_Dan, bounces? nah man, those 34 wins came from guys leaving skin out there every shift 😤 luck doesn't show up 82 nights in a row. Beth, yeah the Avs got stars but nobody enjoys a road trip starting at the Dome, and 6 games in 16 nights early doors - depth wins some of those, heart wins the rest 💪 we're riding, through thick and thin 🙌🔥

ha, dave, you'll learn quick, i sat through the early 2000s here and the '13 Flames, seen worse than 29th i promise you 😄 sophie's right about the Dome some nights, but dan's got a point too, that outshot-and-win stuff has a way of evaporating by christmas. ask anyone who backed this team in the odds back when they looked loaded on paper. i'm riding with em regardless, just keeping the receipts low. october 9 will tell us a bit, or it'll tell us nothing at all. That's the fun of it.
