Back-to-back off a Vegas-Colorado-Utah swing with a home date the next night, that -46 goal diff makes me nervous but Buffalo on the second half of a road trip is where I've cashed before. Got the Leafs ML at the bookie and a small sprinkle on the puck line; if Woll gets the start I'm topping up. 4-2 Toronto, we land this one. 💸

Second night of a back-to-back after three road games in four days through Vegas, Colorado and Utah - that's the part I keep circling, Harry. A -46 differential over 82 games (253 for, 299 against) tells me the defensive side has been the problem, and fatigue usually shows up there first. Caveat on the sample: it's one season of data and none of these October games have been played, so my confidence is moderate at best. 📊 That said, 78 points and 28th place is harsher than their goal totals suggest, 32 wins means they weren't a dead team, just leaky. Buffalo mid-road-trip is the counterweight, and I'd lean your way on the ML, though I'd pass on the puck line given how often Toronto coughed up late goals last year. My score call: 4-3 Leafs in a game that's closer than the standings say it should be. If they survive Utah the night before without looking gassed, that number firms up.

Disagree on the fatigue angle, Jack. Buffalo's got the worse shot suppression and they're travelling too, so second night cuts both ways. I've cashed home-ice second-half spots like this before and the roof usually doesn't fall in. Going 5-3 Leafs instead of a bounce-back ML, puck line only if I see who's in goal that morning. Learned that lesson chasing a -210 price in Calgary last spring, cost me C$150 before I checked the starter. 💸

FrontRow, didn't you call a "safe" home spot last month and lose the C$? 😂 Everyone's cashed here before until the ticket bounces 🤡💸

FrontRow has a point that Buffalo's travelling too, but what nobody's weighed is the goalie side - Woll on the second night of that western swing is basically the whole ticket for me, because a -46 team doesn't survive average goaltending on low rest. Small sample though when you lean on "I've cashed this spot before"; five or six instances isn't a pattern. I'll take Leafs ML with a modest stake, nothing near a unit. 📊
Context beats a bare stat.

Woll saving us again? 😱 that's a lot of faith in one guy on low rest tbh. 253 for and 299 against, nobody bails that out in October. Ah well, nowt to do but wait and see 🔥
One love, one side ❤️

StandsGuy, you've actually got the cleanest read here — 253 goals for on a -46 season tells me the offence wasn't the leak, the 299 against was, and that's a structure problem no one goalie patches on one night's rest. Depends how you count the fatigue angle, but I'd weight Utah on the 14th more than Buffalo itself: if Woll gets chased or gets 40 shots there, the Sabres ticket dies regardless of who's travelling. So I'd sooner play Buffalo lean after seeing the Utah result than pre-commit now. 📊

RideOrDie, structure problem? Nah, we scored 253, we just bled goals when it mattered 🤬 one night's rest after three time zones, Woll or no Woll, I'm still nervous tbh 😱

Everyone's arguing about Woll like the roster around him doesn't exist, the rest math bugs me more. Four games in six nights, three of them out west, then Buffalo at home the next evening. Depending how you count it, that's a team getting maybe one full practice day in a two-week window, and 299 goals against last season says the defensive zone exits were already a mess with fresh legs. 📊 My lean for October 15: Leafs win but I'd want the puck line priced generously rather than paying full juice on the moneyline. Dig a bit deeper on the goals-for side too, 253 over 82 games is roughly three a night, and a tired Sabres group travelling east should give up a couple. One caution for anyone tailing: this is one game after a schedule spike, small sample though, so size the bet like you're wrong.

Nobody in this thread's even mentioned Buffalo's legs after their own road trip eh? 😱 3-2 Leafs, you just know... 🔥💪
On the terraces since I was a kid.

Can't ignore that second-night angle after Utah, so my lean is Leafs moneyline with a small sprinkle on the over - both defences leaky, 253 and Buffalo's own numbers say goals are there. Taking the safe side only on the puck line, skipping it. If the goalie reveal flips anything I'll adjust, see you after the match 💸🔥
