i remember standing in a bar on granville in 2011, game 7 against chicago, whole room holding its breath through that overtime. when burrows buried it i swear the sound came out of people before they even knew they were yelling. spilled half my beer on a stranger and we just hugged about it 😄
been through some lean years since then, seen plenty of guys wear the orca, and i'd raise a glass to every one of them. back in my day we measured summers by who we signed in july, now i just enjoy having the boys in blue and green to argue about with you lot. to the canucks, forever and always. 🍻

Funny thing about that night - I'd left my Canucks scarf at home, thought it was bad luck after the first three games of the series. My wife knitted it for me years ago and by overtime I was practically wearing the couch cushion out of nerves. Burrows goes in alone on Crawford and my buddy grabs my arm so hard I still joke it cost me a visit to the physio 😄
