Four-game road swing to Vegas, Colorado and Utah
FINALLY some real hockey coming π₯ that back-to-back in Vegas then Colorado?? brutal schedule man... and we finish 28th with those goal stats last season so i ain't exactly brimming with confidence π
but hOME OPENER Oct 15 vs buffalo will be LOUD!! get in!!! ππ
You don't abandon your own.
Brutal? nah that b2b is where legends are made πͺ i was at a game back in my minor hockey days where we played two nights straight and won both, you just know the boys can do it. Vegas + Colorado, backing them all day, then Buffalo walks into a BUZZSAW on the 15th ππ GO LEAFS GO π₯
You don't abandon your own.
That Vegas-Colorado b2b screams fade the second night for me, day trader habit is checking who's in goal before I touch a total π I'll sprinkle C$20 on the Leafs ML in Vegas, sitting out Colorado.
The line moves β catch it.
My body is ready for that b2b, my therapist's calendar is not π€£ dropping C$20 on my own sanity instead πΏ
Still learning this stuff, but 28th in the league and legends are made?? π
Andy, don't laugh at my question β is "fade the second night" just betting against tired teams? π
Katie, yeah basically, fade = betting against. Bettors figure tired legs on night two, easy money the other way π
tbh I'm with UpsetKing on this one. Everyone remembers we got shelled 299 times last season, nobody remembers the nights we showed up π€·ββοΈ Vegas first night, legs are fresh, crowd's neutral, that's winnable. Colorado scares me silly I won't lie π± but back-to-backs are just hockey, every team in this league grinds through em. And Buffalo at the ACC on the 15th?? opener crowd gonna be LOUD, barn shaking πͺ we owe these fans after 28th place, no hiding on home ice. GO LEAFS GO π₯π
Thanks Ben π so if tired legs is such a sure thing, why would anyone even bet the second night? doesn't that make it a trap? π
still learning this
Gramps, honest answer? If tired legs was a sure thing, sportsbooks would go broke π€£ that's exactly why it feels like a trap, everyone knows about the b2b so Vegas already prices it in. Real edge comes from stuff like which goalie starts night two or whether the Avs also played the night before.
Me personally though? Heart says show up anyway π₯ our lot never make it easy but I'd rather lose sleep watching the boys get smoked in altitude than miss it. 299 goals against last season still gives me nightmares tbh... ah well, nowt to do but watch π
One love, one side β€οΈ
Honestly this makes me wonder though π
if everyone already knows about the back-to-back and the odds are priced in, like Steve said... then maybe betting the Leafs night two isn't as dumb as it sounds? We finished 28th so expectations are low anyway, maybe the books overcorrect on tired legs. Don't laugh, but that's kind of how I understood it π€
