Checked the openers for the Carolina game before anything else - Canucks getting +190-ish on the moneyline at most Ontario books, and the puck line at +1.5 is sitting way too cheap for a team nobody respects. If I'm touching this road swing at all, it's value over a big price: small stake on the Canuck moneyline in Carolina and load the +1.5 everywhere else. Did this exact thing last season with an underdog trip through the East - loaded up on the +1.5s, went 4-1, one moneyline hit in Jersey paid for the whole week. That's the play here: take the points, don't chase the upset. Game 2 of a back-to-back situation like the Florida date on the 15th is where the line usually moves in our favour anyway. 💸

Back in the day I watched worse clubs than this walk into MSG and leave with two points nobody gave them a dime for. 58-point teams don't shock you on paper, but October hockey's a funny beast, legs are fresh, systems are half-installed, and the good clubs treat early-season games like exhibition skates until it's too late. My gut says the Islanders game on the 13th, purely because they'll be looking past us, and watch as long as I have and you'll get it. Those are the nights that bite. Then again, I picked wrong plenty of seasons sitting in my seats 😄 Ask me again after Carolina, eh.
