I'd pump the brakes before we spend imaginary cap space. A legit 6'4" left-shot top-pair guy almost never gets moved at C$7.5M without a condition attached, bad contract, health flag, or a cap-strapped team begging for salary back. Small sample though, since we don't even have a name to check his age and term against; if he's under 29 with two-plus years left, fine, dream away. Otherwise this smells like the usual February smoke.

Zoe's got the right instinct here honestly. Teams don't just hand you a legit top-pair guy at C$7.5M, there's always a catch buried in the medicals or a sweetener going the other way.
