FINALLY some actual hockey on the horizon 😤🔥 opening in Carolina Oct 8 and then five straight on the road - we've been staring at that 58-point disaster all summer and tbh I'm done sulking, I want to SEE something.
Yeah, dead last, yeah that goal diff is ugly as sin (-100, my eyes hurt), but road swings like this can flip a room real quick. Win a couple in Jersey or against the Rangers and suddenly the building at Rogers Arena isn't booing anymore. Heart says we shock some folks on this trip... head says otherwise 😱 ah well, nowt to do but watch it unfold. Drop the puck already 💪

Honestly, I look at a 58-point team sitting 32nd and I don't see a season to save, I see a line to bet against. Carolina opening night is going to be a juice-fest, Vancouver probably sits +250 or worse there, and those moneylines have been poison for me before. Dropped C$150 chasing a longshot comeback in Jersey last year, never again 💸
If anything, the value might be on the puck line the other way in Carolina or New Jersey, taking the favourite -1.5. Five road games against that stretch of opponents, I'd be shocked if they even land two points on the whole swing. StandsGuy is right, tank's the plan, and I'm not paying inflated odds on a roster with a -100 goal diff to prove otherwise. Take the underdog moneyline only if the goalie matchup surprises me, otherwise my bankroll stays out of the fire 🔥
