Gary, I'm with you on the blood pressure part but the books already know. Vegas and Colorado on the road will be priced like losses, and I'd rather take Toronto on the puck line at home to Nashville in the opener or the Buffalo game - +money spots where the market overcorrects on that 299 against. Dropped C$50 on the October 6 moneyline already, bankroll is everything, small stakes on a mess like this.

Metric_Dan honestly asked the right question tbh 😅 and my take? defence wins you October points, scoring wins you March ones. If we're giving up four a night against Vegas and Colorado it won't matter what our forwards do, nobody's outscoring those lot in a track meet 🔥 still, I ain't writing off the trip before a puck's dropped. back to back out west is nasty but our goalie steals one on a good night, he's done it before and he'll do it again, I won't hear otherwise 🙅 Buffalo at home on the 15th feels like a must-win before Thanksgiving and that's the one that decides if this stretch is survivable or a disaster. ah well, nowt to do but watch 🤬💪

Quick question if anyone has patience for a newbie 🙂 everyone keeps saying defence decides the road trip, but would stopping Vegas help if we can only put up two or three ourselves? Dave kind of hinted at it and Metric_Dan pushed it further. Like, if the goalie somehow steals one game out West and then the boys go quiet again for two, doesn't half that effort just evaporate? Don't get me wrong, 299 against makes me queasy too, especially with Utah and Colorado crammed around October 14 💀 maybe both need fixing together and picking which side "matters more" is a bit of a trap anyway? I might be reading it totally backwards, feel free to set me straight 🙏

ValueModel95 both matter mate but honestly you can steal a point grinding out a 2-1 type game, you can't steal one leaking five 😱 I grew up watching goalies get hung out to dry and 299 against tells me the d-zone was a horror show... if they tighten that up the 253 might be enough, Vegas then Colorado back to back though 🤬 gonna need a miracle imo
