Anyone else waiting days for a payout from the bookie?
Hmm, maybe I'm wrong but is the sportsbook even legit for us in Canada? Thinking of signing up but I've heard payouts can drag on for days and some places cap how much you can cash out at once 😅 What's the fastest method actually. E-transfer or card? Don't laugh if it's a daft question, cheers 🙏
Learning from the veterans, go easy 🙏
No daft question at all, Katie - legit enough here in Alberta side anyway since single-event betting went legal. E-transfer's been my fastest by miles, usually lands same day or next morning, while card withdrawals crawled closer to a week for me once. Never hit a per-transaction cap that actually mattered, but I keep withdrawals modest since bankroll is everything, cash out after a good Oilers night and don't get greedy 💸
Bankroll discipline wins.
Harry, e-transfer being quick is fine, but did bookmaker ever cut your limits after you actually won? Every book does it eventually, they'll happily cap what you can withdraw per transaction and slash your max stake the moment you're consistently ahead. Fine for a casual punt on the Battle of Alberta, useless if you're trying to build a bankroll. So before Katie signs up expecting smooth sailing, the real question is whether bookmaker throttles winners, and I'd bet they do like the rest.
Hype isn't an argument.
Agreed with Harry, e-transfer's the only way to go. And Katie, they'll ask for ID verification before your first payout, annoying but normal, everyone does it. Back when I cashed out on Mise-o-jeu it was the same deal 😄
Been here longer than some have followed.
RobLegend has a point about limits, though in my case bookmaker never cut mine after a good run — they just cap the e-transfer per transaction, so a decent win means two or three payouts queued over a couple of days. Interac still beats everything here in Ontario, card withdrawals took me closer to a week once, same as Harry saw. 📊 Keep your own log of timestamps per withdrawal; you'll spot the pattern faster than any support chat will admit it.
Do the math before you argue.
RideOrDieZone and ValueDan basically described my experience to the letter. I keep a little spreadsheet of my payout timestamps (occupational hazard, I'm a data guy), and across my last handful of withdrawals the pattern held: e-transfer requests get approved within roughly a day, but anything above the per-transaction cap gets split into chunks that trickle in over two or three business days. One caveat on the sample size, that's maybe a dozen payouts, all from Saskatchewan, so if bookmaker routes Ontario accounts differently through the regulated market, your mileage may vary. Katie, to your question: e-transfer, no contest. Card withdrawals took noticeably longer when I tested one, and cheque is basically a museum piece. Rob's point about stake limits after a winning run is fair in general, but in my case bookmaker left my limits untouched. The cap is on the payout size, and the work-around is just patience and planning your bankroll around it.
I keep my own tables 📊
My experience lines up with Jack_Fan's spreadsheet habit, minus the spreadsheet. E-transfer with the bookie was fine for me until a Sens series win turned into a queue, three separate transfers over two days, each waiting on their internal approval window. Cheque I wouldn't touch again, it sat in the mail like it was 2005. Not convinced anyone calling this "fast" has actually cashed out a real win.
Where's the proof?
To start: e-transfer, request under the daily cap, and expect a day or two if you hit a queue like my last win did. Cheque? Never again. 🍺
The line moves — catch it.
