94 years, eh. i remember my old man taking me to a game back in the day at the garden, messier era tail end - the whole barn humming like a living thing. heard the same story about those ceiling tiles rattling in '94 from a hundred old-timers and i believe every one of them 😄 colours run deep, boys.

funny how a building can hold a family together better than some relatives do 😄 my old man had a black and white tv, rabbit ears wrapped in foil, watching that game 7 from our kitchen in calgary. And when messier buried it he hollered so loud the neighbour banged on the wall. he grew up a habs fan, mind you, still tipped his cap that night. said a goal like that belongs to everybody who ever suffered through a rebuild.
anyway, the ceiling tiles story is gospel by now. a hundred old-timers can't all be wrong, and even if the tiles didn't rattle, something in every one of us did. that's the part they can't paint over. 💙
